I’m Dr Erin Louise Bellamy, a Metabolic Mental Health practitioner and researcher. I have a PhD in Psychology, specialising in Ketogenic Diets & Depression from the University of East London. I also have an MSc in Psychiatric Research from the Institute of Psychiatry at King’s College London. I am a Chartered Psychologist, an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and an accredited member of the Society of Metabolic Health Practitioners.
For the past ten years, I have been working with people across all stages of mental illness and recovery both through in-patient units and remotely online. Over the past seven years, I have helped hundreds of people use Ketogenic Metabolic Therapy to address a range of physical and mental health issues, including obesity, insulin resistance, food addiction, depression, and bipolar disorder. What do each of these illnesses have in common? I believe they are all metabolic illnesses of the body and brain.
My aim is to help people improve both their mental and physical health. I achieve this by providing education and support to initiate Ketogenic Metabolic Therapy through therapeutic carbohydrate restriction in a way that is simple and can be sustained as a lifestyle. Working with people of all ages and cultures has equipped me with the skills to support individuals on their journey to better health.

Within my PhD, I aimed to investigate the effects of ketogenic diets and fasting diets in relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis patients within the NAMS study (NCT03508414) - a randomized controlled trial.
Now starting my postdoc phase, I am building up a team to investigate the role of nutritional status, dietary habits, and metabolism in neuroimmunological diseases in cohort studies.
By collaborating with Uni Melbourne, we further plan to investigate associations between diet, lifestyle, and disease onset/disease activity of Multiple sclerosis within comparative cohort studies in Berlin and Melbourne.
I further aim to strengthen our collaboration with the University of Chiba, Japan, by initiating a joint clinical project.
As a part of my postdoc phase, I am part of the XCVD study team (PI: Dr. Sofia Forslund) that wants to shed light on the influences of sex hormones on the development of cardiovascular risk factors and its potential mediation via the immune system and gut microbiome in a transgender cohort during the transition.

My name is Dr. Michael Bazlinton. I am the father of two great kids and 43 years old. I am married to the amazingly talented Mrs. B. I qualified as an NHS GP in 2006 gaining the MRCGP in 2007. The past 10 years has been a rollercoaster ride; huge challenges and great privileges as people share their most vulnerable selves.
However, in September 2017 the time came to reduce my NHS commitments and start to look for other avenues; to avoid personal burnout and find a new passion for helping others with their own challenges. The idea of the bodymapping clinic was born; not private GP as I still believe what I do in the NHS can’t be replaced like for like; I still have a lot to give there.
What I want to create is a wellness service; to engage with those who want to avoid ill health, to reach out to those who feel they are slipping into ill health despite their best efforts. A wellness service that does not call upon drugs and quick fixes but instead turns to an individualised and personalized understanding of ourselves and the world we find ourselves in.
I believe this requires a better understanding of sleep, rest, nutrition, the microbiome, stress, exercise and physical movement
So how should we do health and wellness better? I believe that it requires us to take a measure of ourselves; to take stock of our life’s path to date, and then to map out a better way forward. I believe deep down that we all hope to be better versions of ourselves and yet recognise that we can not do this alone; nor should we try. I want to be a better guide and fellow traveler on other people’s journeys.
So please reach out and sign up for my free webinars so I can keep you updated on what I am doing and the services I am offering. Sign up via the website.

Dr Richard Bernstein broke new ground in the management of type 1 diabetes when he discovered that keeping excellent control of blood glucose levels – through combining a low carb diet with insulin therapy – could make diabetic complications go away.
‘An ordinary diabetic’
Bernstein was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 1946 at the age of 12. In his book Diabetes Solution, he referred to himself as “an ordinary diabetic”, but by the time he turned 30, he was questioning the advice given by the American Diabetes Association (ADA) guidelines.
In 1969, Bernstein was able to obtain one of the first blood glucose meters , which was originally intended for hospital staff to distinguish a diabetes patient from someone who had been drinking heavily.
Bernstein began testing his blood sugar multiple times a day, and started conducting his own research. He found he could normalise his levels through diet, exercise and medication. Within a year, he had refined his insulin dosages to the point that his blood sugar levels were within a normal range for most of the day. Continue reading

I’m Neisha (duh) I’m a nurse! I’ve been a nurse my entire adult life. I started out as a CNA when I was 19 and went on to get my LPN, then my RN and up until a year ago I was an LDRPN nurse (labor delivery recover postpartum nursery) I did a lot of baby care and breastfeeding consultation since I worked in a rural hospital we didn’t have the luxury of having people in each department. We did it all. Which is probably why I’m so passionate about women’s health. I loved it. I quit to go through IVF and be with my baby boy when he gets here in October. I have Hashimotos - diagnosed 3 years ago.
I love all things fashion, home decor, travel and food!! You can find all of these things right here and on all social media platforms. I also have a blog http://neishalovesit.blog
