Before discovering the ketogenic lifestyle, I struggled with weight and major depression.
I want you to imagine this. As if that you’re 30 lbs overweight.. you have a chronic anxiety.. You get the worst panic attacks.. You go to therapy once a week because you don’t understand what’s going on and neither does the people around you. It was determined to be major depression. Fear is taking over your life.. It starts to affect your Career.. it affects your relationships around you.. Your girlfriend at the time was strong.. but it’s start to take a toll on them too. It’s starting to feel like you were just stuck in this dark place of constant Fear. Life is starting to feel like it has no meaning.
That was me a few years ago.. Until I fought for what I want and ultimately when I adapted a ketogenic Lifestyle everything lifted. Energy, mood, it’s like a light bulb had just turned on.
I AM HERE NOW TO HELP YOU DO JUST THAT!

I'm a Fellowship trained Sports and Exercise Medicine Physician with degrees in Medicine, Physiotherapy and Occupational Health.
I have significant expertise in medical nutrition therapy, especially with respect to low carb, ketogenic, paleolithic and carnivore diets. I regularly lecture on nutrition both in Australia and internationally. Various conditions for which I believe there to be compelling evidence for nutritional interventions include diabetes, dementia, concussion and many autoimmune conditions.
As a sports medicine physician (which required a further 4 years of study after medical school, internship and residency), I also consult with many athletes and act as a consultant for professional sports teams. Additionally, I have a strong academic interest and expertise in chronic pain, especially that related to neck or lower back issues.
I respect that 'doctor' in Latin derives from 'teacher' and, educate my patients on the science regarding their treatment options. This allows them to make appropriately informed decisions regarding their care. Further, where possible, my holistic approach focuses on lifestyle management first, and pharmaceuticals second.

Antonio is an Attorney at Law and businessman who worked for the late Dr Robert C. Atkins MD in government relations and appeared on his radio show in the 1990s. Antonio was one of the principal lobbyists and strategists involved in the passage of the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994 (DSHEA) and has been involved in health care issues in law and policy throughout his career. He has developed an interest in public health policy.
Back in the 90s Antonio adopted a low carb approach to lose weight for a time but says he then resumed a more moderate diet. It wasn’t until Antonio started to have his own health issues, including Type 2 diabetes and a heart attack, that he realised he needed to intensify his efforts.
Frustrated, he re-read a number of health and medical materials and told his doctors he would not be taking medications for the rest of his life. He also watched the documentary “Cereal Killers” which was a light bulb moment for him.
In July 2014, Antonio told his doctor and cardiologist that he was going on a high fat low carbohydrate diet. While his doctors did not advise against it, they were skeptical and warned him that he would have to have labs done frequently to monitor the impact of the diet.

Dr. Masino is the Vernon D. Roosa Professor of Applied Science at Trinity College and a joint appointment in Neuroscience and Psychology. Her research focuses on promoting and restoring brain health, with a particular interest in adenosine, and on the relationship among metabolism, brain activity and behavior. For nearly 100 years a metabolic therapy called a “ketogenic diet” has been used to treat seizures, and recent mechanistic insights - including the role of adenosine – hold translational implications for brain health and diverse disorders.
In addition to her laboratory research Dr. Masino is interested in how public policies can improve brain health. During 2018-2019 she was a Charles Bullard Fellow in Forest Research at Harvard and published the seminal paper on the benefits of proforestation (linked below) for climate change mitigation, biodiversity, and public health. She has also published papers and policies on natural stewardship of forest ecosystems.
"At its best, a liberal arts environment is where students and faculty alike achieve their full potential. Trinity understands that students learn more and retain more when they interact with scholars and teachers who are passionate about what they do and can help students find their own passion. Jane qualified as a physiotherapist in 1987, gaining a distinction in her exams and winning the Sarah Leeson Memorial Award for the most promising student. After qualifying she worked in the NHS and private practice for 12 years specialising in Neurology and then Orthopaedics before leaving the profession to pursue more entrepreneurial endeavours.
Jane assists individual patients deal with advanced cancer by helping to facilitate integrative therapy programmes, collaborating with the patient and their doctor to include old off patent drug cocktails. There have been many problems with acquiring these drugs for patients, despite the obvious benefits, so it was a massive relief when she discovered the Care Oncology Clinic in 2015 studying an almost identical drug protocol to her own. Since then Jane has found the courage to speak out about her illness in public. She now spends her spare time educating and empowering cancer patients to seek complementary treatments, in particular to research old drugs. She has a growing facebook following on her ‘Jane McLelland Off label drugs for Cancer’ site. She has visited parliament several times to help change legislation with off patent drugs and to influence the Medical Innovation Bill. Read more.

My journey with nutrition began in 2015 when my son was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. This ignited my passion for driving meaningful change through nutrition and empowering others with T1D to live a quality life fuelled by health.
After completing a Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition, I became a Certified Nutrition Specialist® credentialed by the American Nutrition Association®, and a Licensed Nutritionist (LDN).
With a deep seated desire for spreading a positive message about real, nutrient-dense food and the positive effect it has on diabetes management and improving the quality of life for people living with type 1 diabetes, I launched T1D Nutrition.
I started my practice by creating a program for families that I wished had existed when my own son was first diagnosed.... Continue reading.

I am a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. I actually thought I was going to be a finance major, but God had other plans. After graduating high school, in 1989, I began working as a receptionist at a neurology office in Clearwater, Florida. I was soon moved into a “medical assistant” position. It was then that I began thinking about a career in nursing.
I graduated with my Bachelors in nursing from Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, Georgia and began my nursing career at St Joseph’s hospital. My first assignment as an RN was in a cardiac step down unit taking care of post angioplasty, cardiac stents, pacemakers, and post coronary bypass surgery patients after they left the cardiac unit. In 1999 my husband and I moved back to our home state of Florida and I continued working on the cardiac step down unit at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Fl.

I am a 65-year-old physician who works to integrate metabolic health strategies into cancer care. After graduating from the University of Notre Dame with a degree in economics and pre-medicine, I matriculated at the University of Cincinnati Medical College. After completing my residency in radiation oncology at Stanford University Hospital, I supplemented my formal education by enrolling in a diverse array of programs ranging from hypnosis and nutrition to Eastern philosophy.
I started the practice of oncology in 1989, and 35 years have passed quickly. I spent most of my time in practice in the Charlotte, NC, area as the medical director of CaroMont Cancer Center. As a physician caregiver, I strove to introduce practical, well-tolerated lifestyle and repurposed medication adjuvants to supplement the standard of care therapies to enhance patient outcomes. Interventions include simple balance training programs, diet adjustments, supplements, repurposing of metabolically acting drugs, portable O2 , exercise bands, and sleep hacks. Although these strategies differ substantially, all are very safe, inexpensive, accessible, and have science to support their benefit.
I left the large cancer center practice environment in early 2019 due to loss of peripheral vision due to congenital retinitis pigmentosa and medical designation as legally blind. I returned to school for a year of onsite entrepreneurial business training at Notre Dame with the blessings of my wife and graduated on 6/20. My capstone project was working as CMO and rolling out a new virtual company in the US called Care Oncology that used repurposed metabolically acting drugs and the standard of care for cancer patients. I left Care Oncology with partner and author Travis Christofferson following their merger with a larger company. We then started MeakinMetabolicCare.com in late 2022 to better serve this growing metabolic care space with more efficient and lower-cost offerings. We are now increasing this service and have rejoined many of the original Care Oncology RNs through our partnership with HealNavigator.com.
